As an artist, I believe creativity has the power to start conversations that matter—and mental health is a conversation we need to keep having.
The Drug Bugs series was born from a personal and passionate place: the belief that mental health matters, and that there’s no shame in doing what you need to do to feel whole. Whether it’s therapy, lifestyle changes, or medication—support looks different for everyone. But one thing is true for all of us: we deserve care without judgment.
These quirky, colorful bugs may look playful, but they carry a serious message. For those battling anxiety, depression, ADHD, or any other mental health challenge, remembering to take your meds can be both a lifeline and a daily act of courage.
The phrase "When things are buggin', don't forget your medication" is both a reminder and a rally cry. A nudge to normalize what so many of us live with in silence. A way to say, “You’re not alone.”
Through my art, I hope to chip away at the stigma surrounding mental health and help create a world where taking care of your brain is as accepted as taking care of your body. Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep creating. Let’s keep healing—together.
